Five things decide your aircraft

You don't need to know jets — just your trip. These five factors point straight to the right category. Tell us these and we'll match the aircraft.

01 · People

Passengers

How many are flying? Cabins are sized in seats — and "sleeping" capacity is lower than seating, so overnight trips need more room.

02 · Bags

Luggage

Golf clubs, ski gear, and hard cases take real space. Baggage is measured in cubic feet — smaller jets fill up fast.

03 · Distance

Range

How far, nonstop? Range shrinks with a full cabin, headwinds, and hot weather. We plan for real-world range, not the brochure number.

04 · Airport

Runway

Short or high-altitude airports need aircraft that take off in less room. Smaller jets and turboprops reach airports big jets can't.

05 · Comfort

Cabin & Class

Stand-up cabin or a quick hop? The right call is the smallest aircraft that flies your trip comfortably, with the cabin features you want.

The Details That Matter

What to know before you book

Range

Real vs. Brochure

A jet's max range assumes light load and no wind. Fill the seats, add bags, fly into a headwind or from a hot/high airport, and true range drops — sometimes adding a fuel stop. We always confirm the trip flies nonstop before quoting.

Runway

Why Runway Length Matters

Every aircraft needs a minimum runway to take off safely, and that length grows with weight, heat, and altitude. It's why a small strip near your destination may only take a turboprop or light jet — we check the airport, not just the aircraft.

Airports

Access & FBOs

Private flights use private terminals (FBOs), often at smaller airports closer to you than the big commercial ones. Some airports have slot limits, curfews, or customs — we handle all of it and pick the best field for your trip.

Cabin

Stand Up or Stoop

Light jets and turboprops have lower ceilings (you'll stoop); midsize and up let most people stand. Longer flights are far more comfortable in a stand-up cabin with a full lavatory.

Onboard

Crew, Catering, Wi-Fi

Large jets carry a flight attendant (required by law on many). Catering, Wi-Fi, and pets are available on most aircraft — just tell us what you need and we arrange it.

Timing

Weather & De-Icing

Winter ops may need de-icing, and weather can shift routing. Building a little buffer into departure times keeps the day smooth — we advise on this per trip.

Category 01

Turboprops

Propeller-driven, but pressurized and comfortable. The champions of short trips and small airports — a turboprop can land where jets can't, on short and even unpaved strips, making it the most flexible way to reach remote destinations.

Questions

Before you fly

How many bags can I bring?

It depends on the aircraft. Turboprops and light jets have good baggage holds but fill quickly with hard cases or sports gear; midsize and larger jets carry much more. Tell us your bags up front — including skis, golf clubs, or oversized items — and we'll size the aircraft correctly so nothing gets left behind.

Can I fly nonstop to my destination?

Often yes — but it depends on distance, passenger and luggage weight, weather, and the departure airport's elevation and temperature. A jet's advertised range assumes ideal conditions. We plan every trip on real-world range and will tell you honestly if a fuel stop is needed or a larger aircraft is the better call.

Which airport will I fly from?

Private flights use FBOs — private terminals — usually at airports closer to you than the big commercial hubs, with no lines and curbside-to-cabin in minutes. We pick the most convenient airport that suits your aircraft and any customs, curfew, or slot requirements.

Why does runway length matter?

Each aircraft needs a minimum runway to take off and land safely, and that length increases with weight, heat, and altitude. Some smaller or high-elevation airports can only handle turboprops or light jets. We check the specific airports on your route to make sure your aircraft can use them.

Is there a bathroom onboard?

Most light jets have a modest lavatory; midsize and larger aircraft have a full, private, enclosed lavatory. If a private washroom matters for your trip, we'll steer you to a midsize or above.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes — most private aircraft welcome pets in the cabin with you, subject to the operator's policy. Let us know the animal and size when you request your quote and we'll confirm.

How safe are the aircraft?

We only arrange flights on operators holding valid FAA Part 135 certification and proper insurance, and we verify these for every trip. Safety is confirmed before anything is booked.
